Carl Spencer Lewis Sr., 81, of Christiansburg, was called home on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.  He was born in Christiansburg, VA, on March 27, 1928.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged with several Presidential citations and medals, including one bronze star and three silver stars as well as the Korean Service Medal.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Herma L. Norrell.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Myrtle V. Lewis; four daughters, Kathy D. Lewis, of Christiansburg, Linda Lewis Mills (Dewayne), of Pulaski, VA, Carla R. Lewis, of Christiansburg, Kimberly Rains (Reggie), of Columbus, OH; three sons, Carl S. Lewis, Jr., of Christiansburg, Michael Willis, of Salem, VA, and John H. Haley (Michelle), of Radford, VA; grandchildren, K. Natosha Williamson (Antoine), of Greensboro, NC, Evelyn M. Lewis, of Christiansburg, Davin L. Lewis (Kerry), of Tuscaloosa, AL, David M. Lewis, of Pulaski, VA, Ashley L. Lewis and Nikki R. Lewis, both of Christiansburg; one brother, James R. Franklin, of South Carolina: and a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, and friends.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Greater Mt. Zion United Holy Church with Elder Arnold Jones officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at the church.  Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
