Curtis Lee Lewis Jr. was the son of Curtis Lee Lewis Sr. and Marie Edmonds Lewis. The late John W. Edmonds and Mildred A. Edmonds parented him. Curtis was born January 7, 1947 and departed this life January 8, 2022.

Curtis graduated from Pulaski County High School in Pulaski, VA. He was a steadfast employee of Radford Army Ammunition Plant where he retired after serving for over 35 years. After his retirement, Curtis continued to serve the community by volunteering at the Daily Bread. He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church Magazine Street, where he was a trustee, usher and member of many other church functions.

He leaves to cherish his memory his 5 sisters, Marjorie (Gary) Blackwell and Derenda (Nathan) Robinson of Eden, NC; Sylvia Betz of Waldorf, MD; Cynthia Edmonds of Roanoke, VA; Rochelle Lewis of Pittsburgh, PA; two sister in laws Kim (John) Edmonds of Pulaski, VA and Nancy (Glen) Lewis of Eden, NC; two brothers Jerome (Mark) Lewis of Cathedral, CA and Christopher (Shimonda) Lewis of Eden, NC; one aunt Margaret Lewis of Washington DC and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by a heavenly host of family.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022, 12 noon at First Baptist Church Magazine St. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Pinehurst Cemetery Pulaski.
