Lester, Erline Kegley

Erline Kegley Lester, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at Pulaski Community Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, French Worley Kegley; mother, Ellen Kirkner Kegley Thompson; brothers, Neal, Douglas, Roger, and French W. (Butch) Kegley, all of Pulaski; and a great-granddaughter, Caroline Shade Arnold Jolley, of Durham, N.C.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arnold Kent Lester; one son, Arnold Kent Lester, Jr. and wife, Penny, of Alpharetta, Ga.; one daughter, Ellen Lester Arnold and husband, Chip, of Boone, N.C.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Arnold Hull and husband, Andy and Matthew Arnold and wife, Leigh; great-granddaughter, Ashleigh Merrow Arnold, all of Durham, N.C.; and sisters, Doris Flick and husband, Douglas, of Shawsville, Imogene Newman, and Barbara Monteith and husband, Monty, of Pulaski; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home followed by a private burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home.
