Lester, Elmer Cecil

Elmer Cecil Lester, 74, of Riner, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Cora Duncan Lester; his son, Danny Lester; brother, Kenneth Lester; and sister, Betty Bishop.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Lester; daughter, Joann and husband, Jeff Young; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lester; grandson, Travis Lester and fiance, Laramie Millirons; granddaughters, Amy Fields and husband, Dehaven, Cynthia Young and fiance, Sam Bain, and Heather Young; great-granddaughter, Autumn Fields; brother, Junior Lester and wife, Betty Jo; and sisters, Goldie Nester and husband, Roy, Rosa Lee Bishop, and Judy Thurman and husband, James.

Cecil attended Bain Chapel in Radford for over 60 years. He had retired from Federal Mogul after 29 years of employment there.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Bain Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4527 Bains Chapel Road, Radford, with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
