Lemon, R. Faye
R. Faye Lemon, 69, of Crestleigh Dr., Winchester and formerly of Pulaski, Va., died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at her home.
She was born November 9, 1938, in Pulaski, Va., the daughter of John Leo and Callie Hodges Thompson. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Winchester. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She married E. Ray Lemon on November 18, 1956, in Sumpter, S.C. Mr. Lemon died March 12, 1994.
She is survived by two sons, Earl Ray Lemon and his wife, Jennifer, of Radford, Va., Mel Lemon and his wife, Robin, of Elkton, Va.; two daughters, Denise Lemon-Schrader and her husband, Terry, of Winchester, and Jeannine Wampler and her husband, Keith, of Spotsylvania, Va.; one sister, Rosetta Cox, of Pulaski, Va.; and eight grandchildren, E. Ray Lemon, Kaitlin Lemon, Lindsay Schrader, Kacie Wampler, Amy Wampler, Lori Beth Wampler, Christian Lemon and Sidney Lemon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church in Winchester with the Rev. Mike Blitch officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2008, at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski, Va.
