LeFew, Jeanne Hundley

Jeanne Hundley LeFew, 69, of Radford, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, October 4, 2006 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alverta Hundley; and a very special aunt and uncle who raised her, Walter and Elizabeth Grubb.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Archie LeFew, Radford; son, James R. Baker, Radford; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jennifer LeFew, Marion; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Tina LeFew, Radford; two daughters, Leisa and Jamie LeFew, Radford; a special cousin and his wife that she loved and thought of as a brother she never had, Dr. and Mrs. W.L. Grubb, Charlotte, N.C.

A special thank you to Dr. Donald Yoder, her physician of many years, for the care he provided, and to Dr. Parish, Dr. White, Dr. Smooz, Dr. Noble and Dr. Mishra, for the care provided during the last stretch of illness. Thank you also to the PCU staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital for the care they provided.

She also leaves behind several close and dear friends, Peggy Ray, Shirley Simpkins, Gaye “Toots” Cheatham, Delores “Pete” Broyles and Maggie Christensen and many extended family. She is loved and missed by all.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2006 at The Family Worship Center with the Rev. Michael Lester and the Rev. Gary Rapp officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2006 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
