On August 23, 2012, Archie LeFew, 77, of Radford, passed away at his home on Rock Road. He crossed over through the pearly gates to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He served in the United States Military, and retired from Hercules/Radford Army Ammunition Plant with 30 plus years of faithful service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jeanne Hundley LeFew; brother, Earl LeFew; sisters, Nancy Semones, Blanche Smith, Mary Clark, and Elsie Cales.

He is survived by sons James Baker “Jimmy” of Plum Creek, and his special companion, Debbie Alvis, of Christiansburg, Thomas LeFew “Tommy” and wife Jennifer, of Chilhowie, Charles LeFew “Charlie” and wife Christina (Tina) LeFew, of Radford. He is also survived by daughters, Leisa LeFew and Jamie LeFew, both of Radford. He is survived by his grandchildren that he loved dearly, Charles LeFew “Lil Man”, Logan LeFew, Preston LeFew, Xavier Caudill, Jared Tyler LeFew “JT”, Christopher (Chris) Alley, and Riley Alley, and by his granddaughter Danielle LeFew; stepgranddaughter Amber Hale, stepgreat-grandson, Damian Alley; as well as nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends Saturday August 25, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church. Funeral service to begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Graveside military rites by VFW Post 776 at West View Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Ken Pendergrast and Dr. Eric Steen, of Pulaski, for the care they provided our father and grandfather.

Goodbye dad, we love and will miss you. “A fathers love is a fathers love without end.”
