Genevieve Long Lee, 78, of Radford, Va., died, Friday, April 14, 2006, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Collierstown, Va. on April 9, 1928 to the late Lyle Allen and Nannie Matthews Long. She served as a nurse for over 32 years and was a neighborhood grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Lee, SSgt, Retired US Army; son, Michael Lyle Lee; sister, Cornelia L. Madison; and six brothers.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Reba and R.J. Reynolds, Jr. of Blacksburg; sisters and brother-in-law, Stella and John Henry Cooper of Blacks Creek, Va., Ella Smith of Point Marion, Pa.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sherman and Audrey Lee, New River; granddaughters, Scherry Lee Davidson and husband, Renard, Melinda Ann Cundiff, Wilma Annette Cundiff, Hope Flowers, Della Mills; grandsons, Clarence Sidney Lee, Tywan D.Shawn Brown; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Full Gospel Fellowship, 86 Lee St., Radford with the Pastor Jerry E. Wyms and Evangelist Lillian Wyms officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at the Long Family Cemetery, Black Creek, Va. on Saturday. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
