Teresa Ledgerwood, 60, Johnson City, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home. A native of Radford, Va., she is the daughter of James “Ed” and Margie “Sue” Divers DeHart. She considered herself a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church (Christiansburg).

Teresa was a beautiful, strong willed woman who was successful at everything she did. She graduated Radford High School with honors. She then went on to receive a R.N. Degree from UVA Wise and a Masters of Business Degree and was awarded the Who’s Who of America. Tee was a medical administrator for Amedisys and her nursing career extended over 30 years. She was also the V.P. of Operations & Director of Home Health & Hospice in St. Croix. She enjoyed kite flying, reading, listening to music and most of all traveling with her husband, Kent and spending time with family especially her precious grandchildren.

Tee is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Leanne Bolling, maternal grandparents, Jake & Charlotte Divers and paternal grandparents, French & Lettie DeHart. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kent Ledgerwood; three daughters, Cherie Herndon and husband Darrell of Abingdon, Va., Stacey Amos and husband Chris of Bristol, TN, Nicole Howington and husband PJ of Bristol, Va; a stepson, Kent Ledgerwood II and wife Kim; her grandchildren; two sisters, Sandra Simpkins and husband James of Christiansburg, Va.; Peggy Alderman and husband Garland of Snowsville, Va.; brother, Jed DeHart and wife Dana of Radford, Va.; and many special friends.

The family will receive friends to share memories from 1 p.m.to 3 p.m.on August 30, 2014 at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City, Tenn. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3PM following the visitation. Pastor Ken Farrar will be officiating.
