Layne, Patricia Linkous

Patricia Marlene Layne, 57, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her home in Christiansburg. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Ann Linkous, step-mother, Connie Linkous, sister, Rebecca Linkous and brother, Timothy M. Linkous.

Survivors include her father, Donald M. Linkous of Christiansburg; daughters and son-in-law, Carrie and Craig Dixon of Spout Spring, and Candice Layne of Forest; granddaughter, Emily Hale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Nancy Linkous of Bluefield, WVa and Ron and Debbie Linkous of Orlando, FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Justin Quesenberry and Rev. Jube Burke officiating. Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Rachel Horton Compassionate Care Fund, Lynchburg, VA (RHCCF.org/donate) or any type of drug rehabilitation facility. The Layne family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.

Everyone who knew Pat would recall her with a smile. She had a kindness and love that her closest friends and family could see. She had a strong faith in her Savior and tried her best to live according to God’s will. She loved her children and always wanted the best for them. When Pat loved, she loved with her whole heart and she strived to always be better tomorrow then she was yesterday. Her laugh was contagious and she will be missed and remembered by so many people. Dance with the angels dear lady. Your suffering is done.
