Ruth Coffey Lawson, age 82 of Pulaski passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home. Born November 11, 1930 in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late Hill Coffey and Mollie Dean Coffey.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cecil Lawson; Sister, Ollie Warden, and brothers, Clyde, Glen, Edmond and Johnny Coffey. She was a long time member of the New River Baptist Temple.

Surviving- Children- Kenneth “Kenny” Lawson- Pulaski Eva Branch and husband, James- Shiloh. Deborah Quesenberry and husband, Rex- Pulaski. Jean Powers-Virginia Beach. Eight Grandchildren- Daniel Hagee, Stephen Hagee, Sarah Harrell, Samantha Dalton, Melissa Remington, Sherry Skinner, Jerry Branch and Austin Skinner. Fourteen Great Grandchildren- Brothers- Clarence Coffey & Jessie Coffey- Pulaski, Arthur Coffey & Winfred Coffey-Max Meadows, Hurley Coffey- Winchester.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m., January 2, 2013 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Gary Stike and Rev. Everett Sheperd officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until service hour at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
