Laprade, Pearl Caretta

Pearl Caretta Laprade, 87, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Alma, Ga., on November 9, 1921, to the late Clayton M. and Weltha Stewart Bland.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Judy L. and Bobby E. Fuller, of McCoy, and Vicki Laprade, of Christiansburg; three sisters, Osteen Everheart, of Atlanta, Ga., Nell Martin, of Caroline, Wis., and Johnnie Madsen, of Roy, Utah; one sister-in-law, Lottie Carroll, of Eden, N.C.; three grandchildren, Edwina Lamm, Robin McCoy, and Karen Bolling; eight greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2009, in the Faith Christian Church, Christiansburg with Mr. Otto Conley, Mr. Bobby E. Fuller and Mr. Jeff White officiating. Interment will follow on Monday at 3 p.m. in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Reidsville, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening, April 19, 2009, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
