Harvey “Buck” Lang, Jr., 71 of Christiansburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2006 after a short bout with cancer.

He was born on March 22, 1935 to the late Harve and India Lang. He was retired from the Radford Arsenal with 32 years of service. He attended New River Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lacy and Willie; sisters Norma Niece and Mabel Niece; mother-in-law, Myrtle Caviness; and a stepson, Timmy Quesenberry.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 21 years, Wanda Lang; three stepsons and their wives, Chris and Ruth Quesenberry and Lewis and Leah Quesenberry, all of Radford, Rodney and Melissa Quesenberry of Christiansburg; six step-grandchildren, Travis, Josh, Ashley, Maleah, Brittany and Little Abby; a special father-in-law, Alvin Caviness of Austinville; special sister-in-law, Sharon Abel of Radford; a special brother-in-law and his wife, James and Dawn Caviness of Mt. Airy, NC; three brothers Tommy Lang of Florida, James Lang of Ohio, and Sammy Lang of Christiansburg; four sisters, Bertha Ratliff of New Castle, Thelma Collins, Judy Lang and Sue Cumber, all of Pembroke; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Buck.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Everett Shephard officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Christian Church Cemetery in Draper. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
