Lang, Ethel Judy

Ethel Judy Lang, 63, of Pembroke, departed this life Friday, July 4, 2008, in the loving care of her family at home.

Born at Newport on January 18, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Harve and India Williams Lang. She had been employed at VPI&SU as a custodian and previously in restaurants.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gilbert G. Lang, Jr., her sisters, Mable Niece, Norma Niece, Libby Evans, her brothers, Willy, Buck, and Lacy Lang.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ronald Lang of Pembroke; her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Delmer Cruise of Pembroke; her grandchildren, Jennifer Lang, Amber Lang, Paul Lang, and Gordon Cruise; her brothers, Tommy Lang of Christiansburg, James Lang of Mansfield, Ohio, Sammy Lang of Christiansburg; her sisters, Bertha Ratcliff of New Castle, Thelma Collins of Pembroke, and Debbie Cumbee of Pembroke; her brother-in-law, Walter Lang of Maybrook; her devoted ex-daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lang Johnson of Rich Creek; and two special friends, Mary and Lindsey Stevers of Hoges Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in The Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke with burial following in the Williams Cemetery on Rocky Sink Road at Newport.
