Lane, Mildred Eanes

In memory of our beloved Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother. Mildred Eanes Lane, 91, of Christiansburg, passed away at home in the loving care of her family on October 27, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elderidge Huff Eanes and Ollie Catherine Dickerson Eanes; husband, Earnest Lee Lane; children, Earnestine Cecil, Jerry, Garry, and Cathy Lane; granddaughter, Belinda Kay McBride; great-grandson, Joshua Dean Boley; as well as all of her siblings.

She is survived by three granddaughters, Patricia Cox and husband, Randy, Donna McNeil, and husband Richard, and Becky Linkous; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Linkous, Matthew Boley, Samantha McNeil, Timmy and Chelsea McNeil, Brandon Dimas, Jacob Cox, Heather Cox, and Miranda Dimas; as well as great-great-grandchildren, Colton Boley, Haley, Danielle, Grace, and Jonathan Linkous Jr.

Special thank you to Angie Hollins, Teresa Ferrell, Pat Roberson, Intrepid Hospice and Home Health, Dr. Charles Judy, and Carilion Hospice for everything you did for Mema.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Donna Sharp and Rev. Ken Farrar officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In memory of her daughter, Earnestine Cecil’s birthday on the 30th, balloons will be released at the graveside.
