Lane, Dorothy Waddle

Dorothy Waddle Lane, 83, of Bland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2007 from the Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg, Va. She was born Feb. 20, 1924 in Montgomery County, Va., and was the daughter of the late Everett Nathan and Mamie Ellen Townley Waddle. She attended the Bland Community Church.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty Lane, Bland; two grandsons, Terry Vaught, Pulaski, Va., George Parmeter, Johnson City, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Debbie Ervin, Lake Village, Ark., Judy King, Pulaski; two great-grandchildren; two nephews and four nieces; three sisters, Evelyn Waddle, Pearisburg, Va., Elizabeth Ganoe, War, Naomi Kesling, Lakeland, Fla.

Funeral services will be Sunday (today) at 7:30 p.m. at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, Va. with the Rev. Leroy Long officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday (today) after 2:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with services at 7:30 p.m. Graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Waddle Cemetery, Bland.
