William (Bill) Clarence Lambert, 85, of Blacksburg, Va., went to be with his Heavenly family, on Monday, October 29, 2007.

Mr. Lambert was a Veteran, serving in the United States Army as a Medic in World War II. He was a member of the Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years until was no longer able to attend. He was born August 24, 1922 in Raven, Va. to the late Clarence William and Georgia Victoria Lewis Lambert.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Bobo) Lambert; a sister, Margaret; and a brother, Parley Lambert. Mr. Lambert is survived by his granddaughter, Joyce (Roscoe) Winters of Blacksburg; a grandson, Andrew (Debra) Rhea of Mesa, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, David Zeigler of Check, Charles (Lisa) Zeigler of Ferrum, Crystal Zeigler of Floyd and Anthony Rhea of Christiansburg; six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Minnie (Paul) Horeluk of Chilhowie also survives.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Buckner officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
