Richard Leon Lambert, 85 of Narrows, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Richard was born on April 18, 1935 in Bland Co., VA and was a son of the late Hobert Johnson Lambert and Stella Gray Lambert. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Lambert, one brother, Harold C. Lambert and one sister, Marlene L. Palmer.

Richard was a member of the Faith Christian Church in Christiansburg. He retired from the Celanese Corp of America in Narrows and was a truck driver for many years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Emily Millirons Lambert of Christiansburg, son, Steve Lambert (Cindy) of Christiansburg, two daughters, Melissa Linkous (Mike) of Pulaski, Penny L. Fisher of Pulaski, two sisters, Lois French of Narrows, Barbara Wright (Harry) of Bluefield, WV, eight grandchildren, Rena Mitchell (Travis), Shena Robertson, Chase Fisher, Michaela Miller (Michael), M.J. Linkous, Alex Raines, Kayla Raines, Brooke Raines, nine great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor David Rhudy and Pastor Mike Breidenbaugh officiating with burial following in the Lambert Cemetery in Narrows (Wolf Creek). The family receive friends at funeral chapel one hour before the service. We will be observing COVID-19 precautions, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
