Joyce Ann Cottle Lambert, 73, of Spanishburg, went to meet her Lord and Savior Monday, May 6, 2013 at Cozy Home Haven in Radford, VA. Born July 22, 1939, in Spanishburg, WV, where she was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Avory Curtis Cottle and Fairoll Lusk Cottle.

Joyce Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a graduate of Spanishburg High School class of ’57. She was a retired employee of the Mercer County school system. She was the secretary for Spanishburg School for 33 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Lambert, January 27, 1988, and an infant sister. She will be forever missed by her sons, Robert Lambert and wife Karen of Spanishburg. Dennis Lambert and wife Heather of Draper, Va. Grandchildren Bethany, Stephanie, Robbie, Cheyenne, and Allison. Sisters Mabel Mills and Billy of Princeton. Betty Cottle of Spanishburg, and Patsy Cottle of Princeton. Nieces, Eugenia Broyles, Kathy Gaertner, and Angela Roske. Several great nephews, great niece, and special lifelong friend Yvonne Worrell.

Special thanks to Carilion Hospice and Cozy Home Haven staff, Valorie, Jessie, Angie, Cindy, Crystal, and Patricia for their “Excellent Care”.

In following her wishes, her body has been donated to West Virginia University for medical study. A memorial service will be held 12:00p.m. May 11, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Princeton, W.Va 1000 New Hope Rd. Princeton, WV. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00am -12:00pm prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Joyce Ann’s memory to the Mercer County animal shelter, 961 Shelter Road, Princeton, WV 24740.

The Lambert family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
