Lafon, Thelma Jean

Thelma Jean Lafon, age 86, of Christiansburg died, Friday, November 9, 2018. She was born in Blacksburg on June 3, 1932 to the late Dale and Helen Hunter Odham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wilson Lafon, her son, Timothy Dale Lafon, sisters, Charlsie Williams, Betty Dickson, Loraine Demaris, Elizabeth Adams, Joyce Whittaker, and her brother, Dennis Odham. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Donna Lafon, grandchildren, Jason Lafon, Danielle Rowland, Dustin Lafon, Phillip Lafon, Cindy Gunter, eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor David Rhudy officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm Thursday afternoon prior to the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
