Lafon, Dorothy Ann

Dorothy Ann Lafon, 70, of Snidow St. in Pembroke, Va., departed this life Friday morning, January 29, 2010, at her home. Born in Giles County on November 14, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Alice Williams Burk and the late Robert Burk. Dorothy was a faithful member of Bethel Chapel Church in Clendennin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Vernon Lafon. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, best friend, and caregiver, Angel Lee Lafon, of Pembroke; and her son, Teddy Wayne Lafon, of Princeton, W.Va.; several devoted cousins, and her church family that loved her. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
