Kiser, James Henry

James Henry Kiser, 86, of Dublin, passed away March 13, 2010, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born April 12, 1923, in War, W.Va., he was the son of the late Walter Kiser and Callie Williams Kiser.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Kiser Lester; one brother, Brooks Kiser; and one sister, Mary Katherine Hudson.

Mr. Kiser was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Appalachian Power Company with 40 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Judith Kiser, Dublin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Debbie Kiser, Stafford, Va., Randy and Janet Kiser, Jamestown, N.C.; son-in-law, Jerry Lester, Dublin; grandchildren, Laura, Jay and Jennifer Lester, Tim, Jeff, Adam and Kristi Kiser, Lane and Elizabeth Kiser; one sister, Jean Sheets, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Father Ken Shuping officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
