kirk_olga_kittyOlga “Kitty” Jemina Kirk of Blacksburg, VA, died peacefully at home Tuesday night, June 14, 2016 with her husband and daughter at her side. Olga was born on October 23, 1933 in Buffalo, NY, to the late Cirino Torrisi and Lydia Lanzillotta Torrisi. Shei s proceeded in death by her parents, and her brother Salvatore “Sam” Torrisi.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Roscoe Elliott Kirk, Jr.; Daughter Lori Anne Kirk, Son Michael E. Kirk and his husband Jeffrey; Sister Jeanne Hoffman; Brother William “Bill” Torrisi and his wife Penny; Sister-in-law Carol Crawford and her husband Ben; grandsons Victor A. Sheppard, Jr and partner Jennifer, Christopher W. Sheppard and fiancé Mina, and Raymond Forte; great-grandsons Owen C. Sheppard, Isaac Sheppard, and Vincent Cervone; great granddaughter Lydia Forte; Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Sisters; and many more nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who have been so tremendously supportive and loving.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, United States Air Force veteran, and dear friend to many. She spent many decades in volunteer service to the American Red Cross, Literacy Volunteers of America, NCO Wives Club, Girl Scouts, Montgomery County Public Schools, Korean War Memorial development, St. Michael Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi, and many others.

The family will receive guests Saturday afternoon from 4-6:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home located at 150 Country Club Dr. Blacksburg, VA 24060. The funeral will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at St. Michael Lutheran Church located at 2308 Merrimac Road Blacksburg, VA 24060; interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens located at 2880 N Franklin St. Christiansburg, VA 24073.
