Kirk, Joseph Jackson

Joseph Jackson (Joe) Kirk, 74, of Radford, died July 2, 2007 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was retired from U.S. Air Force, Harvey’s Chevrolet and Kirk’s Gun Shop where he was a Gun Smith for 37 Years.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Franklin Kirk and Louella Graham Kirk; wife, Carol Decker Kirk; son Jay J. Kirk; and brothers, Charles and Gerald Kirk.

Surviving are his loving life partner, Paddi Lucas of Radford; sons and daughter-in-law, Randal J. Kirk and Steven G. and Laura Osborne Kirk of Radford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and George M. Harvey, Sr. of Radford, Mary Ruth Sutphin, Sally and Elwood Cox of Christiansburg, and Barbara and John Shelburn of Boones Mill; grandchildren, Julian Kirk, James Kirk, Kellie Banks, Shannon Kirk, Ashley Kirk, Martin Kirk, Elizabeth Kirk, and Zylphia Shu-En Kirk; and great grandson, Darion James Kirk.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday July 3 , 2007 at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joe McCoy officiating. DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford is handling arrangements.
