Kipps, Clarence Burgess

Clarence (Jack) B. Kipps, 80, of Blacksburg, Va., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday morning, February 18, 2007, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born November 6, 1926, in Christiansburg, Va., and was the son of the late Clarence Burgess and Millie Gay Kipps. He was retired from the Virginia Tech Postal Service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Billy Kipps. He is survived by his wife, Waneta Kipps; his four sons and their spouses, Gary, Rex and Carol, Perry and Gale, and Ryne and Linda; a brother and sister-in-law, Armsted and Geneva Kipps; grandchildren and their spouses, Clay and Regina Kipps, Steve and Sheila Price, Kyle, Wally and Missy Smith, Sherry, Brian, Mark and Kathy; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Mrs. Betty Basham-Chairman, 200 Evans Street, Christiansburg, Va. 24073.
