King, Galen Lee

Galen Lee King, 61, of Radford, Va., died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. He was born on March 14, 1947, in Lexington, Ky., to the late Donald Lee and Iva Holman King. He was a beloved husband, father, a gifted craftsman and an honorable man who leaves the world a richer place for everyone whose life he touched. He was a United States Navy veteran who served in the Mediterranean during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Ann Herriott Fisher, of Radford; two sons, Morgan Galen King, of Dublin, Ireland, and Alexander Joseph King, of Philadelphia, Pa.; and mother-in-law, Margaret Van Dyck Fisher, of Pattersonville, N.Y. The family would like to invite everyone to come and celebrate his life 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Russell Gregory officiating.
