Christopher Scott Kindred, 22, a resident of 1501 Ridgeview Rd. NW, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident.  Born on August 3, 1985 in Thomasville, Georgia, he was the son of Teresa Lewis of Floyd, and Wentworth P. Kindred, Jr. of Thomasville, Georgia.

He was a Customer Care Advocate for United Health Care Insurance Company and was a member of the Army Reserve 424 TC Company based out of Galax.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, August 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson, North Carolina by the Rev. Tony Broome.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens in Henderson with Military Honors. A memorial service will be held in Floyd at a later date.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one half-sister, Chelsea Kindred of Thomasville, Georgia; his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Rosolene Lewis of Floyd; his paternal grandparents, Wentworth and Patricia Kindred of Thomasville, Georgia; an aunt and uncle, Thomas W. and Amy Lewis of Apex, N. C.; and a niece and nephew, Carlee Rose and Keaton Lewis of Apex, N. C.
