Kibbe, Elizabeth Alderman

Elizabeth Alderman Kibbe, 82, of Roanoke, formerly of Radford, passed away on Sunday January 31, 2010. She was born June 11, 1927 in Pulaski, the daughter of the late James Albert and Margarett Swain Alderman. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Milton H. Kibbe. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and was the ultimate homemaker. She leaves behind her children, daughter, Vicki Kibbe; sons, Barry Weakley and Mark Weakley; grandchildren, Erica Havens, Justin Havens, Lisa Frazier, Shaun Weakley, Kelly Weakley and Brian Weakley; six great-grandchildren; and all her friends. After graduating from Pulaski High School she then attended Radford College. Elizabeth was a retired school teacher. She loved to garden and was extremely active in the Radford Council of Garden Clubs. She participated in the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered in several active community services. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home, 120 West Main Street, Radford, Va. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens, Dublin, Va., with the Rev. Gina Rhea officiating.
