ketch_dale_walterRev. Dale Walter Ketch, 73, of Christiansburg, went on to be with His Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born on March 9, 1938, in Woodland, Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Hope Ketch; and his sister, Louise Judd. His first love, Jesus Christ, ushered him into the presence of the LORD. He is survived by his lifetime love of 48 years, Juanita Weeks Ketch; his daughter, Teresa and husband, Charles Short, of Christiansburg; and his son, Dale Wayne and wife, Dempsie Ketch, of Blacksburg; his wonderful grandchildren, Alicia and Grace Ketch, and Anna and Josiah Short; his brothers, Richard and Dorcas Ketch, of New Sweden, Maine, Ward and Lois Ketch, of Schuylkill Haven, Pa., and Philip and Gloria Ketch, of Woodland, Maine; his sisters, Myrtle and Marvin Post, of Story City, Iowa, and Juanita Knowlton, of Caribou, Maine; and numerous nieces and nephews; the congregation of Faith Tabernacle where he pastored the last 32 years; his colleagues in Christ; and many special friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Farmer and the Rev. Jackie Benton officiating.
