Kennedy, Shirley Smith

Shirley Anne Smith Kennedy, of Dublin, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2016.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, James Thomas Kennedy; son, Jeffery Smith (Paula) of Dublin; two daughters, Laura McCoy (Dean) of Dublin and Jennifer Watts (Richard) of Wytheville; five grandchildren, Christin, Austen, Brayden, Ashley and Shauna; six half sisters and one half brother.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Fairlawn Church of God. Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Marcus Harrison officiating. Inurnment will follow at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
