Kelly-Mann, Karen Long

Karen Ruth Kelly-Mann, age 63, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born September 11, 1957, in Newport, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lee R. and Margie Ellen Simmons Long.

Karen was a caring person, whether it be for her neighbors or her many patients that she had over her 42 years as a nurse. She was a wonderful and loving mother and wife who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Long Jr. and Tommy Long; and one sister, Sue Scott. Survivors include her loving husband, Henry W. Mann; one daughter, Lee Ellen Kelly of the home; one brother, John Long of Newport, VA; two sisters, Nancy Frazier of Rich Creek, VA, and Betsy Sarver of Newport, VA; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Jolene “JoJo”.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Tim Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow at the Ballard Baptist Church Cemetery in Ballard, WV. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
