Reta Mae Blankenship Kellison, 75 of Narrows, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg, what a special Angel God gained. Reta was born on November 9, 1945 in Giles Co., VA and was a daughter of the late Kermit Fitchue Blankenship and Zelma Henderson Steel Blankenship.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Lucas and Diana Akers, two sisters, Juanita Hudson and Brenda Myers and a very special son-in-law, Barry Davis.

Reta was a long-time member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Narrows and was a retired employee of the Celanese Corp. with 35 years of service. She loved yard sales on Facebook, politics and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Tammy H. Davis of Kellysville, WV, one son, Chris Harry (Diana) of Missouri, 11 grandchildren, Christie, Ashley, Phillip, Jennifer, Josh, Lindsey, Casey, Andrew, Kaitlin, Lexi, Keely, 12 great grandchildren a special niece and nephew, Brandi Robertson and Timmy Myers and a special Aunt Patty Blankenship all of Narrows.

Funeral services will be conducted, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 1pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Jim Hagy officiating with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends two hours before the funeral from 11 – 1pm. We will be observing COVID-19 precautions, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
