keith_john_lewisJohn Lewis Keith, 79, of Blacksburg went to be with his Lord Sunday, November 27, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Floyd County, Va. on October 30, 1937 to the late Lemon Arvil and Bertha Sowers Keith.

He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Rhonda Lynn Keith; and four brothers, Charles Ray Keith, Franklin Delano Keith, J. C. Keith, Joe William Keith.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine H. Keith; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Sandra Keith, Stacy and Miranda Keith, Chad and Tara Keith; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Art Hamrick; eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Heather, Jessica, Carter, John, Isaiah, Bentley, and Easton; great-grandchild, Skyler; sisters and brother-in-law, Vera Hodge, Jewel and Randolph Vaden; brother, Arvil Keith and Elva; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Floyd.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Reed and Rev. John Hopkins officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the LongShop-McCoy Rescue Squad, Box 489, McCoy, Va. 24111. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
