Kegley, Verona Flinchum

Verona Flinchum Kegley, 81, of 403 Major Graham Road, Max Meadows, Va., and formerly of Pulaski, died early Tuesday morning, February 16, 2010, in the Edgemont Center Nursing Home, Wytheville. She was born in Pulaski on January 22, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Lovick P. Flinchum and Willie Davis Flinchum. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas E. Kegley. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Brian Underwood, Max Meadows; daughter, Madeleine Kegley and her husband, Joseph Wargo, Beaufort, S.C.; grandchildren, Jacob Underwood and Joshua Underwood, Max Meadows. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Friday evening from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1946 Medallion Drive, Pulaski, Va. 24301.
