Kavolius, June Barbara

June Barbara Kavolius, 87, of Blacksburg and formerly of Toms River, N.J., died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at The Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Newark, N.J., July 2, 1925, to the late Edward and Mae Jackson Weseman; and was also preceded in death by her husband, V. Peter Kavolius; a son, Dr. Jeffrey Kavolius; three sisters, Lillian Behme, Eileen Behme, and Dorothy Daugila. She was a former resident of Leisure Knoll, Lakehurst, N.J. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Kevin Browne, of Blacksburg, Joanne and Doug Edwards, of Langhorne, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Diedre Kavolius, of Reston; brother, Edward Weseman, of Georgia; five grandchildren, Christopher Browne, Kellylynn Browne, Katie Edwards, Matthew Edwards and Liam Kavolius. Funeral mass will be conducted 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Father Remi Sojka officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association , Central and Western VA Chapter-Roanoke Region, 2728 Colonial Avenue, Suite 2, Roanoke, VA 24015.
