Kanode, Willia O’Neill Cole
Willia Gray O’Neill Cole Kanode, 91 years young, left this world November 15, 2022, to be with the Lord and her family gone before her! Born June 7, 1931, at Pickaway, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hattie Beamer O’Neill. Our Mom and Granny resided at Stonerise Lindside since August of this year, after a short hospital stay.
Willia loved God and constantly prayed for folks. She knew prayer changed things! The love of family and friends was so close to her heart! Mom enjoyed working in her garden and being close to nature, flowers, feeding and watching her birds! Granny fed so many people around her table over the years and poured love into every meal she made. She made it known that if you left her house hungry or thirsty, it was your own fault. Most of all, she enjoyed crocheting, evidenced by all the afghans so many of you have to cherish. She loved presenting her labors of love to whomever she made it for. Mom was loved by many and to those of you that visited her these last few years, it meant so much! Until we meet again, know how much you will be missed. Gods got you now Mom!
Preceding Willia in death was Jesse Lee Cole, husband and father of her children, her beautiful daughter Melanie Rose, her youngest son Bryan Glen “Beardog”, daughter in-law Susie Cole, son in-law Bill Tingler, and husband Dall Kanode. Siblings: John William O’Neill, Mary Marshall, Virginia Smith, Anna Cole, and Louise Sparks.
Those left to cherish her life and memories are her son Bobby Gene Cole and wife Patty of Wikel, WV, daughter Betty Bindas and husband Eddie of Salem, VA. Grandchildren: Kristi (Mark), Jason (Karen), Shannon (Tammy), Julie (Jason), Bobby (Jesse), Jesseca, Rachel (Russell), Nikki (Micky), Byron (Jacqueline), and Jessy. Great Grandchildren: Jessie, Logan, Kristopher (Shelby), Jacob, Bella, Teegan, Summer, Alexa, Trey, Jeremiah, Hunter, Ian, Gracie, and Augustus.
