Kanode, Lois M.

Lois M. Kanode, 75, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at LewisGale Pulaski Hospital. She was born in Montgomery County on January 20, 1936, to the late Percy and Roxie Dove Alls. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Kanode Jr.; and an infant daughter. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Kitty Barker, of Elberton, Ga., and Glenda and Donald Mathes, of Dublin; son, Bobby Joe Kanode, of Dublin; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Raymond Linkous; brothers and sister-in-law, Willis and Judy Alls, and Ed Alls, all of Blacksburg; five grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.
