1922 ~ 2008 Wilson Kibler Kaiser, 86, passed away quietly on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in Blacksburg, Va. Wilson grew up in Lexington, S.C. He served in the United States Army in Company C, 409th Infantry from December 1942 to August 1946. Wilson was a prisoner of war in Germany from December 1944 to May 1945.

After the war, Wilson attended Clemson University and graduated with a bachelor of science in agricultural economics in 1954. He met Lois at Clemson and they were married January 30, 1954. He then attended the University of Delaware and graduated in 1957 with a master of science. He worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture for over 30 years. He and Lois resided in Fairfax, Va., for over 40 years. In retirement, they moved to Troutville, Va., in 1993 and then to Blacksburg, Va., in 2004.

Wilson was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois; and his brother, Robert Ellison (Bud) Kaiser. Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jane Kaiser, of Pointe Pleasant, N.J., and Paul and Susan Kaiser, of Blacksburg; and grandchildren, David, Laura, Joshua, Kelly and Kristen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 4608 Brambleton Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24018. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at St. John Lutheran Church by Pastor Mark Graham. The family will receive friends following the service.
