Jones, Sue Frazier

Linda “Sue” Jones, age 75, of Rich Creek, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. She was born on February 6, 1946, to the late James and Mable Frazier.

Sue retired from Celanese in Narrows, VA, after 30 years of service. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John “Freddy” Jones; two sisters, Evelyn Sifford and Betty Sifford; and two brothers, Marvin Frazier and Arnold Frazier.

She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Perdue and husband Jamie of Peterstown, WV; her grandson, who was her world, Owen Perdue; one brother, Frankie Frazier and wife Kitty of Pearisburg, VA; one sister, Margaret Cawley and husband Franklin of Pembroke, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA, with Rev. Jerry Hagerman officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery.

In light of the recent COVID outbreaks in the area, masks and social distancing are highly recommended for those planning on attending the services.
