Jones Sr., William Leslie

William Leslie Jones, Sr., 56, of Dublin, Va. and formerly of Arcadia, Florida, departed this life Friday, February 12, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va. Born in Arcadia, Florida on October 23, 1953, he was a son of Lorraine Crews Jones, of Arcadia, Florida and the late Cecil Jones, Sr.

He attended the Pembroke Assembly of God and was employed with the automotive department at Christiansburg Wal-Mart.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Candy Jean Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ernestine Chase Jones, of Dublin, Va.; his mother; his son, William L. Jones, Jr., of Pembroke and his fiancée, Ashley Lineberry, of Pulaski, Va.; his daughters and sons-in-law, Christinea Marie and Ricky, Jr. Huffman, of Plant City, Florida and Stacey Ann and James Aycock, of Dublin, Va.; his brothers, John Jones, Cecil Jones and Tommy Jones, all of Tampa, Florida; his sisters, Gladys Dry and Cindy Jones, both of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren Jonathan Huffman, Ricky Huffman, III; Jessica Huffman, Tessiana Aycock, Tyler Aycock, and Colin Aycock.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday evening, February 14, 2010, at 6 p.m. in the Pembroke Assembly of God, 6201 Virginia Ave., with Pastor Jessie Bass and Pastor Chris Branch officiating. Burial will be in Joshua Creek Cemetery in Arcadia, Florida following services there. The family will receive friends at the Pembroke Assembly of God Sunday evening from 5 until 6 p.m. before the services.
