Franklin Duane Jones, Sr., 66, of Mt. Olivet Road, Pulaski, died Wednesday morning, January 18, 2006 at his residence. Born May 13, 1939 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Edna Ramsey Jones and Glendon Lee Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Franklin Duane “F.D.” Jones, Jr.; and three brothers.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served over 20 years in the Army Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Harrell Jones; one son, Charles Richard “Ricky” Jones and his wife, Amy of Pulaski; one daughter, Deborah Jones Thomas and her husband, Richard of Pulaski; one brother, Clayton Jones of Pulaski; one sister, Ona Anderson of Pulaski; one granddaughter, Amanda Thomas; and three grandsons, Duane Thomas, Glendon Jones and Matthew Jones.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 20, 2006 at 10 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with the Rev. Judy Yonce officiating. Interment will follow in the Hufford Cemetery where the V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military honors.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions to the Mt.
