Lucy Andrews “Mamaw” Jones, 96, of Pulaski Virginia, died peacefully on December 6th, 2014. Lucy was born on October 15th, 1918, in Newbern, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Sally M. Andrews, her husband Harless C. Jones, 2 brothers, 1 sister, Blanche. She is also preceded in death by two Son in Laws, Wendell Byron Jones Jr and Glenn Thomas Jordan III.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Jones-Jordan of Pulaski, Va. Grandsons, B. Wendell Jones and wife Amy of Blacksburg, Va., David M. Jones and partner Farrell Doss of Christiansburg, Va., and Eric A. Jones and wife Marsha of Braselton, Ga. Lucy is also survived by her loving great-grandchildren, Hannah M. Jones, Samuel B. Jones, Macie L. Jones, Caitlin M. Jones and Kyle J. Jones. She is also survived by Tom’s family, Glenn & Beverly Jordan and children. Charlene and Edward Weir. Isabella and Gary. And host of Nephews and Neices, extended famly members and many friends.

Lucy was a life long resident of the Pulaski community and was recognized as a thoughtful and caring person who always stood ready to assist family, friends, and neighbors. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grand mother. Her days were spent always taking care of and nurturing her family. Lucy was a role model for hard work, determination, and a resolve to do what is right in support of her family and friends. Lucy leaves behind a true legacy that will carry on for many generations.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Bowers Funeral Chapel in Pulaski, Virginia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church in Draper Virginia.
