Jones, Jared Robert

Jared Robert Jones, age 36 of Asheville, NC, (formally of Blacksburg, Va.) died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was born in Ann Arbor, MI on January 27, 1983.

He leaves behind his parents, James and Julie Jones; sister, Jaci; son, Maddox; fiancé, Ashley Watts; niece, Mila; nephews, Enzo and Von.

He was a beloved son, father, brother and uncle. He had a warm, caring heart and a radiant personality that will be missed. Jared was a 2001 Blacksburg High School graduate and later graduated from Radford University. He enjoyed hiking, being outdoors, playing basketball with his son Maddox, snowboarding and wake-boarding. He was a very talented and creative artist who also enjoyed playing the drums.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, Blacksburg.
