Jones, Betty Hill

Betty Hill Jones, 88, of Christiansburg, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. She was born in Kingston, Pa., on January 11, 1922, to the late John and Stella Price Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sheldon Jones; and a sister, Dorothy Bressler. She was a faithful member of Bethleham United Methodist Church in Moneta and was a Realtor in Northern Virginia and Smith Mountain Lake for over 20 years. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Kenneth Jones and wife, Karen, of Christiansburg, Va., and Richard Jones, of College Park, Md.; grandchildren, Edward Jones, Nathan Jones, Cindy Patterson, Lucas Jones, Danny Jones and Jenni Jones; greatgrandchild, Jett David Jones; and sister, Mary Steffy. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bethleham United Methodist Church, Moneta, Va. A Memorial Service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Tridestone Christian Center, 2100 North Main Street, Blacksburg, Va., officiated by Pastor Vince Guerra.
