Johnston, Rita Renee

Rita Renee Johnston, 46, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at her home. She was born in Radford, Va., on April 3, 1963, and was preceded in death by her father, Garnett Hueston Johnston; and a brother, Ricky Dale Johnston.

She is survived by her mother, Bobbie D. Johnston; daughter, Katelin Sue Johnston; and brother, Michael Todd Johnston, all of Blacksburg.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hurd officiating. There will be no public gathering at the funeral home or at the home following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Katelin Education Fund, c/o Bobbie D. Johnston, 714 Progress St., Blacksburg, Va. 24060.

Interment will follow in the Centennial Christian Church Cemetery, McCoy. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
