Johnston, Richard Lewis

Richard Lewis Johnston, 62, of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, John David Johnston Jr. and Kathleen J. Carroll.

He leaves behind a loving wife of 45 years, Betty “Cookie” Johnston; his three sons, Ricky Johnston and his wife, Trina, and grandson, Shane, Steve Johnston and his wife, Kimberly and grandchildren, Hannah and Alex, and David Johnston and his wife, Mary. His aunts, Jane, Ann, and Hazel; and his uncles, Pat and Jessie, who were very dear to his heart; along with special brother and sister-in-law and his father-in-law, Poppy “Shorty” “Red” Jones. He also had many loving cousins, extended family and friends.

He was the former business owner of Master TV and Appliances for over 25 years.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J.P. Hale officiating. Visiting will be Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the service hour. His family will also receive friends at the home of Steve and Kimberly Johnston, 7155 Old Cloyd Road, Dublin, Va. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
