Johnston, James Randolph

James Randolph Johnston “Randy”, 62, of Bertons Crossing, Eggleston, VA, departed this life Wednesday evening, March 13, 2019 at his home. Born in Pearisburg on November 12, 1956, he was a son of the late Paul and Geneva Bell Minnick Johnston.

Randy was a skilled auto mechanic, a veteran of the US Army, a faithful member of The Eggleston Volunteer Fire Department, and a devout member of Bear Spring United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Patricia Ann Duncan Johnston and his brother Richard Franklin Johnston.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons Lee Johnston and Bobby Ray Johnston both of Radford; his brothers Charles “Corky” Johnston of Pearisburg, and Joey Johnston of Ohio; and his sister Patricia Kappel of Ohio; and a host of friends and neighbors who will miss him.

The family will receive friends and conduct funeral services Monday, March 18, 2019 from noon until 1:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastors Lynn Garrison and Eddie Kendall officiating.
