Arlie enjoyed the outdoors as a hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He also enjoyed CB radios and went by the handle “The Fisherman”. He would also serve as an umpire and referee for youth sports.

Arlie was a member of the Peterstown United Methodist Church and devoted a lot of time to the Food Pantry. He was also a member of the American Legion.

The one trait that Arlie had was that he was totally honest with family and friends; he called things as only Arlie could. God, family, values, honor, respect, and doing things for the right reasons were most important to Arlie. He was a truly loved husband and father who loved WV and was proud to serve his country. He will be missed by all who knew him.
