Margaret Tiller Parry Johnson, 69, of Pearisburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on February 14th, 1942 and was the daughter of the late John Allen and Clara Evelyn Blankenship Tiller. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Tiller Wilson.

She was a 1961 graduate of Narrows High School. Affectionately known as “Mom-Maw Midge,” Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also lovingly known as “Aunt Midge” to her nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Lisa and W.J. Ratcliff Jr. of Staffordsville, and Cindy and Donald Graham of Narrows; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy and William Lucas of Narrows, and Bonnie T. Smith of Hope Mills, N.C.; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mann and Tommy Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
