Johnson, Hubert Taylor

Hubert Taylor Johnson, 69, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007. He was born in Floyd, Va. to the late Yolanda Johnson and Harry D. Johnson Sr.

Hubert served in the U.S. Army from March 1, 1954 to April 1, 1956.

Survivors include two sisters, Sylvia A. Wade and Patricia V. Cabbler; three brothers, Harry D. Johnson Jr., Cecil R. Johnson and John M. Johnson, all of Roanoke, Va.; son, Paul Johnson of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Joann Mitchell Johnson and Alice Johnson, both of Roanoke, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Junius Hughes officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Friends may call on Thursday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
